Asymetrie.

I think we're all a little 'asymmetrical' deep down. A bit quirky. Searching for something 'different'.

I fell for this pair of earrings at first sight. Maybe it was the black hematite and white pearl, maybe it was the yellow gold, maybe it was the fact that they reminded me of when it was cool to wear one earring back in the naughties. Whatever the reason, I'm glad they exist, and that they're mine.

I've worn them all weekend with numerous outfits. Dressed up for a Saturday night dinner, dressed down for a Sunday movie date. They just work with everything. In fact, the whole Estelle Deve collection is stunning. Elegant, unique, modern, cool! I'm really feeling gold for summer. And as for black and white, well, that never goes out of style!

Five Realm.

It's no secret I am obsessed with rings. Layered, cocktail, and mementos from Greece! But at the moment I am really, really into earrings. Especially a 'cocktail' earring like this pair.

The Five Realm earrings from Save The Last Pinker had me at amazonite and smokey quartz tiles. Set in a rich yellow gold that reminds me of the gold you find in Greece.

Worn with a simple summer outfit, these babies add enough pizzazz to get you through from day to night.

Summer thrills.

Summer is in the air in Melbourne, everything feels so fresh and it excites me to no end! Not having to wear a jacket is the ultimate pleasure, and I love balmy nights.

En route to Vegiebar with one of my favourite girls, we took some shots in what may just be my summer uniform. These callots are EVERYTHING.

Short Stop.

I work in the city, and on the way to the car park I sometimes walk through Sutherland St. It use to be quite a bland lane, but it has become one of the new places to be thanks to Short Stop and also Raw Trader next door!

I am a sucker for a donut, they're not something I have often but I was super keen to try this place out! I had the earl grey and rose, (red velvet and cinnamon and cardamom also pictured) and a piccolo coffee. They don't offer soy milk just organic full cream. The space is light and bright, and you can also sit on the window sill/bench out front.

The donuts are glorious and it's a busy little spot! Great for morning or afternoon tea with friends and don't forget to get a take away box.

Short Stop Coffee & Donuts, 12 Sutherland St. Open Monday - Friday.

Travelling Samovar.

I love this place so much! Yesterday was freezing and Nicole and I had brunch and decided to head to Elwood to get a smoothie at Combi, I took a turn to ditch some traffic and remembered this place was close by and couldn't think of a better way to warm up. (Sorry Combi, maybe another time!)

The last time I went was on Mother's Day back in May, they had lanterns hanging from the roof and mum and I had tea, cake and bought some trinkets for home. The lanterns are long gone, but have been replaced with roses.

The tea house offers the best hand picked teas, served in unique ways according to their style.

Nicole and I shared a slice of the flourless chocolate cake, I had the jasmine pearls green tea and Nicole the traditional Indian chai latte. The staff are so warm and inviting, and when they bring you your tea (along with the brewing timers and all the tools you need to make the perfect cuppa) they explain everything you need to know about the tea and how to get the best flavour from it.

Travelling Samovar, 412 Rathdowne St Carlton North. Open Wednesday - Sunday.
